On May the 20th the Summer Internship Program for 2008 kicked off! Five young women from Simpson University in Redding, CA traveled to Temuco, Chile which is eight hours south of Santiago. These interns are teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) to the five C&MA schools located in the Temuco area. We ask you to keep them in prayer as they teach and for their interaction with the students. This includes the ability to love the kids and teachers, to be great witnesses to the local churches, restaurants, the families they are staying with and all of those that they meet. Also it is winter in Chile during our summer and they have to ride buses three hours a day to get to the schools and back. So please pray for safety and to be able to stay warm and dry. In one final note, the current volcano activity in Chile that you may have seen on the news is far to the South of the Temuco area. VFC thanks you as always for your prayers and support!
