Rafaela shares her experience in House of Hope…

We were blessed to have Rafaela Fiallos with us, a wonderful young Honduran serving in the area of Communications and Ministry with us for six months. We are honored that she was with us and we pray that God will continue to use her in Mighty ways for His purposes. She shares with us from her heart all about her experience in the ministry and what it meant for her to be part of Casa Esperanza:

“Hello! My name is Rafaela Fiallos. I am from Honduras, a volunteer supporting in the area of Communications and collaborating in being a spiritual, moral and emotional support for the girls of Casa Esperanza. Today, I want to share with you how my experience at Casa Esperanza has been: In a single sentence I would say: Learning for life.

Every human being should have the opportunity to be a volunteer for a certain time, contribute to noble causes and be part of a big vision like Vision for Children.
This type of experience changes your life and the way you see the human being. Casa Esperanza has been an enriching experience since learning to work in a team, developing greater creativity and living with people from different cultures and different ways of living, and to be able to enjoy everything that these new experiences bring each day is really transformative.

Personally, I have grown a lot as a human being and in my relationship with Christ. I firmly believe that the needs of the human being are very important to cover when carrying the message of Jesus. We are saved by grace through faith, but faith without works is dead. Vision for Children is a ministry that reflects in action-the love of Jesus.

Casa Esperanza is transforming the lives of young people who are harmed at social risk and giving them a future, as well as everyone who becomes part of this wonderful project to serve, manages to understand the true meaning of the vision in the missions in its complete integral transformation of the individual. “

In House of Hope I learned

In House of Hope I learned that a disinterested and genuine hug from a child is the perfect medicine for stress. Living there it broke my individualism and  I understood, (because knowing and understanding are things totally different) just like Jesus we are here to serve. Apart from finding wonderful friends, talented and overcomers in life, I could say something special from each one of them.

My life was blessed when I was in Casa Esperanza, I learned a bunch and they help me alot. Overall, I meet wonderful children, from them I know, that with the help of God they will get far and for that reason,  there is people willing to love and guide them in the right path, which pray with and for them. Living in La Pintana does not make you worst person but brings the best version of yourself, who live and work in House of Hope know it best.

Happy Anniversary

Happy birthday to Casa Esperanza/ House of Hope. Eight amazing years of faithful service to young women in Chile who do desperately need to experience the love of Christ in their practical and spiritual lives.

Not only that, but trusting in God, the ministry has been expanded to help children and families in the community as well. We look forward to see what God will do through Casa Esperanza before the ninth birthday celebration.
