On a daily basis we are ministering to over 500 children and young adults. This first week has been extremely busy as we have the privilege of having 37 high school students plus four awesome teachers and two bus drivers from Nido De Aguilas. This is their “ week without walls “ week. They have come to help us with our construction and ministry to a local elementary school. These kids have exceeded our expectations. Thank you Nido for all that you do for the House of Hope and our community.
The construction is going well. We are amazed at the amount of work being done. Of course Kerry is in charge and cracking the whip. Bob and crew are continuing with the electrical wiring and moving quicker than we thought. It is great to have veterans like Lee and Dick with us as they know what needs to be done.
On Friday night, we had a no talent, talent show. Please see our facebook for photos and updates. We enjoyed our time together. It was a great time of fun and fellowship. It is always amazing to see how much talent showed up.
Today, Saturday we are having a volunteer work day and are expecting approximately 20 people from the San Marcos church. Along with this church and volunteers from Inter Nations, the work on the multi-purpose building is moving very well. Thank you Lord for our volunteers from Chile.
We will continue to keep you updated [ I think ! ] Please keep our ministry in prayer. We are about to announce the results of our matching grant. It is not too late to donate. We praise God for all of you ! Tom
