Sunday marks Day 1 of the 2-week-long physical and spiritual journey, where a group from the US lead by Kerry Mitras, endeavors to continue the work that God put on Tom Orme’s heart 29 years ago.
Today in Chile, the majority of the team arrived and settled in, while David, Kerry, Tara, Judy, and Sarah visited the church next door where the girls from the House of Hope (HoH) worship. Kerry invited the whole church to the big celebration and dedication of the HoH on Friday!
Lunch was Nellie’s delicious pastel de choclo and chicken soup. After a much-needed nap for some and lively conversation for others, the team visited the Lider and Papa John’s next door to grab pizza and sodas for “once.”
After a ton of pizza, Kerry gave a quick outline of what the schedule looked like for the first week. We then had a beautiful time worshipping God and lifting up prayer requests from the team.
During dessert, we had a great time blessing the girls and their ministry with many things we brought with us for them!
