Vison for Chile 2009 – The House of Hope The House of Hope is the newest addition to Vision for Chile. After 13 years of serving orphans and trouble youth, they have a vision to expand their ministry to include young women facing life on their own.
The House of Hope is a halfway house project for the women who must leave the orphanage when they reach 18 years of age. Even growing up in the nurturing atmosphere of the VFC orphanage, the girls become very anxious about reaching adulthood, knowing that their security is at risk when they return to the streets. Because the orphanage can no longer care for them when they reach age 18, a safe home is needed for them as they adjust to the pressures of adulthood.
The House of Hope will be this safe place.
