October 2014 Team Update #2

Here we are at the end of the second week. We are preparing to head back to the US and I haven’t written a second update. Please forgive me for this. So this will be our second and final update. It has been busy, busy and busy. The team has done an outstanding job but they are tired and ready to go home. Kerry advises that the team was able to complete the electrical, sheetrock and plastering in several rooms. These are the rooms being used by the Kids Zone, Music Ministry and dorm rooms for future teams.

We did have a surprise visit from Bob & Cheryl Fugate. They came from Mexico at our request as we had some urgent NGO / Vision for Chile business. It was great to have them with us for 6 days. Thank you Bob & Cheryl for coming and helping us out. We miss you and love you guys.

On Sunday and again on Wednesday the team, staff and interns had some fun and fellowship by going shopping, eating, going to the mountains and eating. [ we did eat a lot ] It was interesting for me as we found ourselves on a zip line. Yes I did go on a zip line. Several of the team went horseback riding. What a great couple of days. As you know, one of our goals is to reach our community of La Pintana for Jesus. While we have been here the community suffered an awful tragedy.  There was a fire that took the life of a 17 year old boy and his 14 year old sister is in the hospital dying.

See details and pictures on our website and facebook.

Thank you Bre for sharing the details of the same. I wish all of you could be here. The ministry is so awesome ! You get overwhelmed by seeing all of the neighborhood kids that we minister too. Many are deciding to follow Jesus. Come down and be a part of us. In 2015 Daniel is coming to the US and we are having 5 teams coming to Chile to serve. As always, thank you for your love and support. Video Tom
