I am back in Germany for two weeks now and I really miss the time I had at House of Hope. When I arrived in July one of the girls told me that they could be my new family for this three month and I did not believe her. I thought that it would be difficult be become a part of their group, but I was wrong! After a few weeks, or maybe days I noticed that the girls are not simply living together, they actually are a family! And they made it easy for me to become a part of it. The work of the whole ministry is incredible and it is a special pleasure for me that I had the opportunity to work with them. During the winter vacation I worked in the orphanages La Granja and Caro: playing with the children was always funny. At House of Hope we had a special programm, too. We had two afternoons of home cinema showing different movies for the younger children and the older ones and three days of Vacation Bible School: the children could learn more about the bible but also choose between different workshops like music, sports or practice some english with me. In this first weeks, that I spended at House of Hope, I had the chance to see the various work of the ministry. My work at the Schools “Forjadores del Futuro“ and “Las Rosas“, which is a special needs school was great and never boring because of its differences. It was awesome to help the children with their tasks and to see them learn new things in this three month. Every week I spend one afternoon at the orphanage “La Granja“ practicing english with the girls and we had a good time together playing games in english to learn a bit more of this language. It was always great to see the children at House of Hope. There were always a lot of people coming to the activities like “Hope Community“ on Wednesday evening or “Kids Zone“ on Saturdays. In this last three month in La Pintana I saw a compleatly different way of life compared to my life in Germany and it was a unforgettable experience for me. I was part of the House of Hope-Family, I found new friends and of cause: espacially all of the children will always have a place in my heart! I am very thankful for the time I had at House of Hope in La Pintana and I hope that I will have the opportunity to return soon. I made an awesome experience and I had an incredible time in La Pintana.
Thank you, House of Hope!
