Reflections on a recent trip to the House of Hope
The week before our trip to Chile was so full with the activities of Holy Week, that what I really wanted was a vacation, not a mission trip. By the end of my week at Casa Esperanza [The House of Hope] I was touched on a spiritual level deeper than any vacation ever could have.
The most significant aspect of the trip for me was seeing God’s hand so obviously moving in and through the group.

From travel mercies to bringing just the right gifts, to people in the group with life stories that connected directly with the women in the house, it felt like our group was placed there for this particular moment in the life of Casa Esperanza.
Not only did we bring encouragement, but we were also encouraged as we connected to the girls in the house, the students & teachers in the school we visited, and the children in the “hogares” who we met.
