Judy answers to why serving on mission trip

Judy Weatherby is planning the full two weeks in the upcoming Vision for Children trip to the House of Hope. When asked why her heart was in going, this was her deeply felt reply:

“The first time I went to Casa Esperanza I felt an immediate connection to the mission. After speaking with Tom Orme, the founder of Casa Esperanza, I knew I had to find a way to help. I donated money, taught bible studies, went over for service days, and brought them supplies. I never thought about why this mission grabbed my heart so much until David asked me to write about it. It was then that it came to me. My daughters were both adopted from Chile. Their birth mothers were both poor, single, poorly educated women. Ximena and Almendra would have most likely ended up in orphanages like the ones near Casa Esperanza and, given their birth dates, would have ended up on the streets before they could finish high school. My daughters could have been in need of a place like Casa Esperanza, a safe place offering support and the love of Jesus. So, for me the mission to Casa Esperanza is personal and will always be dear to my heart.”

Please pray for the upcoming trip!
