Dear VFC Family, it has been a while since you and I last communicated, probably way too long. I want to bring you up to date on the exciting things that are going on at the House of Hope in Chile. In the past 12 months we have had three of our girls graduate from either a vocational school or university and they are all now working full time in their chosen professions. They are Cynthia, Damy and Eben. In June Claudia was married, yes I said married. I had the honor of being the father of the bride. And what a great honor it was. Our girls are doing wonderful. It is such a blessing to watch them mature and prepare for an independent life.
This past year we have started multiple ministries to meet the needs of the street kids that live in La Pintana. You should be at the House of Hope on a Saturday. It is nothing but awesome ! We offer music lessons for a variety of instruments, drums, guitars, brass instruments etc. plus voice lessons with Jessica. We have art classes and a “ Kids Zone “ a high powered VBS type class with lots of fun, games and teaching the kids about Jesus. We are seeing 50 or more kids coming every Saturday. On Thursday nights, we have started a Hope Community outreach class for kids age 10 to 18. We are averaging 30 to 35 kids. It is an exciting time of ministry. Recently 22 of these young people accepted Jesus ! Do I hear an Amen !
There is so much going on that I want to share with you. I pray that you are receiving our newsletters. If not please sign up to do so. All of this ministry is taking place in our Multi-Purpose building. Yes this is the building that is still under construction. In October we are headed back to La Pintana to minister to the House of Hope and street kids. Please come and join us. It is not too late to sign up and go. We do need your help ! We must complete the construction of this building.
We need to raise approximately $25,000 to purchase the needed construction materials. We have been offered a “ Matching Grant “ of $5000. to kick start our fund raising process. We are so grateful for this donation. We have 30 days [ until October 19th to match this grant and raise the additional funds. Can you help ? Will you help ? We need you. Every dollar helps.
