Team Two, update 2,3 and the final one 11.2013

Hello Friends and Family, it is Saturday and time for the remaining team members [ that’d Kerry and me ] of team two to go home. That sounds so good ! We both have been here for the month. But before we go we wanted to bring you a final update. Actually this is only update number # 2. But who is counting ?
We have had a great two weeks The kids from Nido [ all 29 of them ] were awesome. They worked very hard and dug a great ditch for our water lines. They also worked on our new building by helping to install the insulation. Every day 10 of the kids would go to Forjadores del future to work with the kids and help assist the teachers as needed. We had the pleasure of having three of the teachers from Nido come with the kids. It was great having them here and working together. On Friday of that week we had a special lunch with a ceremony and gave everyone a certificate of appreciation and a VFC t-shirt. Thank you Nido ! We look forward to next year with the week without walls team.
On Sunday we had to say good bye to Brian and Ann Marie from the great State of Tennessee. They were fantastic workers and helped us out a lot. We pray that they will want to come back next year. Before they left we had a good time going downtown Santiago. It was a good time of exploring the downtown area and having some great ice cream. Thank you Brian & Ann Marie. Also thank you for taking such great photos. We can’t wait to see all of them !
The construction of our multi-purpose building continues and is going well. We now have all of the windows and doors installed. The building is looking good. The insulation is almost complete. With the Nido kids, several volunteer days, we have had a lot of help. Thank God for our volunteers ! The plumbing is in its final stages. Jose is doing well. The electrical is complete and we just about have the water line ditch dug. So………we are preparing for a great team in February / March 2014 to complete the building. Please plan to come out and be a part of us.
One of the highlights of our trip has been our morning devotions. The music being led by Lissette has been truly wonderful. The devotions and prayer time have been outstanding. The discussions were truly a blessing from the Lord. Thank you girls and staff. We also need to comment on the food. Wow ! Thank you Claudia and girls for all of the great meals. You should all be chefs !
OK, that is about it. We are leaving soon. Thank you so much for your prayers and financial support. And thanks to Kerry for being a great El Jefe. He is so awesome
God bless you all !
