Vision for Children is one step closer to becoming a reality! If you remember our last update, Vision for Children has been incorporated in Tennessee. This week, the application (only 53 pages) has been signed and mailed to the Internal Revenue Service (along with a check). This is the next step in becoming a 501 (c) (3) Non-profit. What are we doing while waiting on IRS? We continue to ponder on the logo that we should use. We also are in the process of beginning the new web site for Vision for Children! We trust that soon, we will have the new logo designed and the web site started!
Of course, this is all happening at a busy time in organizing for the October trip to Chile! This is a difficult time for all charitable organizations, Vision for Children and Vision for Chile not being an exception. We are currently raising money to pay for the foundation of the new building being constructed in October. Then comes raising money for the building itself, not to mention recruiting two teams of workers! The initial construction drawings have been received and reviewed. Have you called/emailed Tom and told him that you are coming in October? He needs to hear from you yesterday! Have you made a donation to help with construction? Would you like to make a donation to help with the 501 (c) (3) application process?
Pray that the application is accepted as submitted. If this occurs, we could be approved before the October trip! If there are simple questions/clarifications then we could be approved shortly after the October trip! If there are complicated questions, approval may not take place until summer of 2013!
Pray also for the right team members for October as well as the necessary funds to complete the work.

We will update you when we receive more information! We are excited about what God is doing through Vision for Chile and will do through Vision for Children!
