We are in search of good used or new instruments in support of the workshop in casa esperanza, and the Big Band that we support. It is a part of the school of 400 children (Forjadores del Futuro School) that we are very involved with plus La Pintana community. This is a very poor area and school and many of their students come from 7 area orphanages. This band is making such a difference in the lives of these kids! Please note the below list of the needed instruments. Can you help us out? I would love to take as many of these instruments to Chile with me in Jun to save on shipping costs or if you are in Chile contact Daniel Trujillo to email casaesperanza.vpc@gmail.com or call 6-2254287

Talk to your family and friends and see what you can help us round up.

Update Instruments needed:

  • 5 Guitars
  • 2 Guitar amplifier
  • 1 Trumpet
  • 1 Saxophone

I know that there are many of these instruments out there not being used. Please help us out. If you have an instrument you can send it to: Vision for Chile, 1176 Olde Cameron Lane, Franklin, TN 37067, call me at 615.973.9837 or email me.

If we are unable to collect enough donated instruments, we will need to purchase instruments in Chile.  So you can also donate funds to cover this expense.  You can do that by using the donate button below.

Thanks and God bless!

IMG_7196Dear Friends & Family, I pray that you are enjoying this time of year, especially with the Christmas holiday upon us. What a great time to spend with love ones and give thanks for our many blessings.

2011 has been a year where the Vision for Chile / House of Hope ministry has been truly blessed by the Lord. I won’t lie to you and tell you that it has been an easy year, in fact it has been a very difficult year. However every
day we see the hand of God blessing our ministry and the lives of the girls that we support. We thank God for you and your families. Your prayers are felt daily. Many of you have come to Chile as a part of our work teams. What a blessing you have been to me, our staff and the girls of the Hogar and the House of Hope. Your financial support has been overwhelming ! In June of 2011 we were very close to closing the House of Hope however so many of you began to pray and send money that  today the House of Hope remains open as is very optimistic about the future. Praise God for all that you do.

Lately we have been experiencing a great deal of local support in Santiago Chile by the ex-pat community. We caught the eye of a new newspaper ” I Love Chile ” They came out to see us and wrote the attached article. I am excited to have such a well written article about our ministry and how people can help. I hope that you enjoy reading this article as much as I did.

We are fast approaching the end of 2011. We praise God for all that you have done for us this year. You guys know me. I will continue to challenge you to come along side of us and get involved. Please continue to pray ! Prayer is the backbone of our existence. Please continue to come. We are putting together an exciting team for February / March 2012. Come and be a part of us in 2012. It will change your life. And lastly please continue to give financially. It cost us over $8000. per month to operate the House of Hope. We need your monthly support. In fact it would be awesome if you could give a 2011 year end gift. Please do ! We love you and thank you. We could not do what we do without you. God bless !

Pastor John Joseph Wilkins

John Joseph Wilkins

Born June 5th, 1943 / Died December 25th, 2012

Dear Friends and Family of Vision for Chile:

Today we have very sad news to bring to you. Our friend, our brother in Christ and our Pastor has died. John was a part of our ministry from the very beginning. We will miss him very much.

John died in a hospital in San Antonio Texas on Christmas day from complications of his diabetes. Please pray for his wife Stephanie and his family. As we get more details, we will get them to you. John was a close friend. His death has overwhelmed me. I praise God for knowing John and having the honor of being his friend.

With love and gratitude,

Tom Orme

Drumroll…. (Matching Gift Update)

Dear VFC Family,

Praise God for His faithfulness and meeting our needs so that we can meet the needs of the girls at the Hogar and the House of Hope. We needed to raise $7,500 in December to receive a matching grant of $7,500. Because of faithful supporters like you, VFC now has an additional $15,000. Yes, we did it! You guys are awesome! Thank you and God bless you!

Please continue to pray for the ministry of Vision for Chile. There are some very exciting things happening which can only be described as answers to prayers. More details to follow shortly. Come to Chile and be a part of the work of Vision for Chile in 2012!
